Single Sign On

Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication mechanism that allows users to access multiple applications or systems with a single set of corporate login credentials. Instead of requiring users to remember and enter separate usernames and passwords for each application, SSO enables users to authenticate themselves once and gain access to multiple resources without needing to re-enter their credentials.

With SSO, a central identity provider (IdP) such as Google or Okta manages the authentication process. When an agent attempts to log in to Convrs, Convrs will redirect the agent to the IdP for authentication. The Agent provides their credentials (e.g., username and password) to the IdP, which verifies the information and generates a token representing the user's authenticated session.

SSO offers several benefits including improved user experience, increased security, and simplified user management. Users only need to remember one set of credentials, reducing the likelihood of password-related issues. Additionally, SSO enables your organization to enforce stronger security measures, such as multi-factor authentication, at the IdP level, ensuring consistent security across all applications.
